Our approaches and therapies
Acid-base balance and therapy
In the case of a disease the body’s acid-base balance is often disturbed in a persistent way. As in the case of a garden pond where its chemical and biological system „is upset“ and algae grow very fast and kills the fish, the collapse of our acid-base environment can damage our organism in a considerable way. Therefore, the owner of a garden pond pays much attention to the biochemical relation in his pond and balances imbalances before the environment collapses – we do not pay enough attention to our own body environment or only when it is already too late and diseases have broken out!
Our organism consists of 80% of basic substances and of 20% of acidic substances. The body’s acid-base balance however, is not a static system but subject to constant fluctuations. There are however, certain measured values that have to be kept so that our metabolism works properly. The so-called pH-value in the blood, in the saliva and in the urine and the specific resistance of these body fluids and their oxidation behaviour gives information on the acid-base balance. On the basis of this one can draw conclusions about the situation in the so-called extracellular area which according to the previously mentioned comparison corresponds to the water in the garden pond and cannot be measured directly.
With the additional measuring of the intracellular buffer one can make current statements on the dimensions of e.g. base deficits which can be neutralized with medication. If there are not enough base buffers, the tissue overacidifies which leads to disturbances in the utilization of oxygen with all its consequences, i.e.: disease, as has already been described. The acute medicine in the hospitals is not possible without measuring the acid-base balance.
A significant part of the treatment are infusion therapies, since medicine gets directly into the blood. Thus, one can balance imbalances in the acid-base balance quickly, and vitamins, trace elements and analgesics can be administered. In the case of certain indications the procaine-base infusion has proved itself: an infusion with bases is mixed with procaine (which is also used in the case of the neural therapy – cf. neural therapy). This local narcotic agent, which has an enormous influence on the vegetative nervous system, causes profound changes in the case of chronic pain disorders and degenerative disease like e.g.:

The frequently used measuring of the pH in the urine alone does not say much about the actual acid-base relation of the patient. Also the measuring of the pH in the blood and in the saliva is only a snapshot of the metabolism. The pH in the urine is subject to external influences like the consumption of food and drink. Furthermore, there is a 24-hour rhythm of the renal function so that at night and in the early morning the body eliminates more acids.
Therefore, we do not only measure the acid-base balance via modern methods of analysis, but also the buffer capacity of the blood, the status of oxidation in the cells (i.e. how much oxygen can be metabolized by the cells) and the electric resistance of different body fluids. Only on the basis of these comprehensive examinations we are able to determine the actual acidic state in the single cells (intracellular buffer) in order to change or normalize the patient’s inner environment so that there are the best possible living conditions, and diseases can be treated in the best possible way.
In order to normalize the overacidification of the body, different therapies as e.g. the oxygen therapy are used. Moreover, the patient receives individual diet plans, base infusions and basic powders and medication. It is not possible however, to bring the acid-base balance into a healthy condition within a few days. The patient has to contribute actively to the recovery of the organism.
