Insulin potentiation therapy (IPT)
The IPT is a type of therapy that has been applied and has developed for more than half a century with which many diseases can be affected and thus treated with the help of a low blood sugar level.
This therapy was “discovered” in the 30s in Mexico by the doctor Donato Perez Garcia (1876 – 1971) when insulin was just introduced into medicine for the treatment of diabetes.
In the so-called “pre-antibiotics era“ and „pre-cortisone era“ many diseases were not curable and Dr. Garcia recovered in an experiment on himself from chronic diarrhoea with serious loss of weight within a few months. This self-awareness formed the foundations for a more and more refined insulin therapy and for a growing number of symptoms that can be treated successfully with it. He cured the practically incurable neurosyphilis with small doses of medicine that was in use but had extreme side effects within the framework of the IPT, and could prove that the medicine enters the brain during the treatment, i.e. in the case of low blood sugar level the blood-brain barrier opens.
Thus, he could heal the feared stomach ulcer already centuries ago when the bacterium helicobacter was not on everybody’s lips yet, but already in many stomachs. Articular rheumatism, chronic infections, syphilis, gonorrhoea and asthma were grateful indications. In the 40s he began treating cancer diseases with respectable results which however, were not taken into consideration in the neighbouring America.
What is particular about this form of treatment is that it is free of or poor in side effects, since the regulation ability and the human immune system are not disturbed. Though apart from vitamins and minerals also antibiotics, antifungal drugs, antiviral drugs and chemotherapeutics are used, the doses are very small. Due to the low blood sugar level the administered medicine is absorbed by the ill cells, since they have much higher energy requirements and a higher number of insulin receptors which are responsible for transporting glucose into the cell if required. If the state of a low blood sugar level is interrupted, highly concentrated glucose is injected after having administered the medicine first; thus, everything is transported via osmotic pressure into those cells which absorb most glucose, i.e. the cancer cells or chronically inflamed cells, as we know from the PET examinations. It means that I reach the ill cell with a fraction of the usual dose, reduce the often grave side effects and do not destroy the immune system, which imposes limits on common treatments.
