Aschauer Borreliose Center
Borreliosis (which is also called Lyme disease or differently in its subcategories) is a multisystemic infectious disease which can befall any organ, the human nervous system, the joints and the tissue. In our degrees of latitude the transmission of this complicated disease, which is often difficult to diagnose, takes place nearly exclusively via the wood tick (in rare cases also via mosquitoes or horseflies).
For the first time borreliosis was described in 1975 in the state of Connecticut after the frequent occurrence of arthritis, and it is still difficult to diagnose and to treat. Thus, it happens frequently that a borreliosis is identified as such only years after the infection via a tick, after having received many other diagnoses and precious time has passed for an effective therapy.
In Germany there is a clear North-South divide with regard to the risk of infection or risk of transmission of the bacterial strains Borrelia burgdorferi, Borrelia sensu stricto, Borrelia garinii, Borrelia afzelii and Borellia spielmanii. In the federal states of North Germany only 6% to 10% of the ticks are infected with Borrelia bacteria, in the South however, the rates reach 50%.
In the past years the practice Dr. Baltin has dealt or had to deal with borreliosis in an intense way. Within the framework of this task we have collected far-reaching knowledge of effective diagnostics and the treatment of borreliosis diseases from which has arisen an autonomous and integral concept in the meantime.
In order to put a stop to this complex disease which spreads continuously and to help the patient as soon as possible we have just brought to life the Aschauer Borreliose Center (A.B.C.) which will soon be presented on a different website. You can visit this website from the 20th of October 2010 on the internet or directly via this area.
We ask you to contact us immediately in urgent cases when there is the possibility of borreliosis.
