All of us absorb many harmful substances and toxins via food and our skin. These substances are deposited in the blood, in our fat cells and particularly in our connective tissue, and burden our organism constantly. A simple and efficient method without side effects to detoxify our body and to eliminate accumulations of harmful substances is the well-known cupping.
The art of cupping is known for centuries and in different variants and was already applied by the old Egyptians and Greek, but also by the Chinese and indigenous (Indian) populations. Also the famous Paracelsus von Hohenheim wrote: „Where nature creates pain, it has accumulated harmful substances and wants to eliminate them. If nature is not able to do this on her own, the doctor has to make an artificial hole directly at the ill area and thus cure the pain and the disease quickly.“
Cupping causes a profound detoxification of the body via the skin. Particularly in the case of diseases of the locomotor system, migraine, tenseness, renal insufficiency, high blood pressure, liver complaints, rheumatism and inflammations cupping is a tried and tested method in order to dissolve and eliminate deposits and reactivate the self-healing powers of the organism.
During cupping air is warmed up in the cups and extracted via technical measures just to be put directly on the patient’s skin. Due to the created negative pressure (vacuum) it comes to a dilation of the blood vessels beneath the skin, and toxins and harmful substances are sucked from the skin. With cupping one can achieve a very quick organic relief and a clear reduction of pain. This method has also proved itself in the case of highly acute pain.
The most common variants can be subdivided into the so-called “bloody cupping” where the skin is cut before using the cups. This does not hurt and leads to an efficient elimination of toxins from metabolism. Moreover, the micro circulation of the blood and the lymph fluids is improved, and it comes to a muscular relaxation and thus to a reduction of pain in the cupped area. In the case of so-called “dry cupping” the skin remains undamaged. The cups lead to a better circulation, an improvement of the functions of the reflex zones, a vegetative stimulation of the functions and a general energy supply.
Cupping is neither painful nor unpleasant, even if it is implied by the theoretical description. Instead, the patients feel, especially after the cupping process, which is usually applied at the back and the legs relieved and relaxed.
